Effective Monday, March 30, 2020, Montgomery County Offices will be closed to the public. In an abundance of caution, the Montgomery County Commission voted to close county offices through Thursday, April 30, 2020 to protect both employees and residents. Although offices are physically closed, county services are still readily available.

Stray Animals

If you see a stray dog in your neighborhood, and you live in:

  • Montgomery City Limits - Call the Montgomery Police Department Animal Control at (334) 409-0622.
  • Montgomery County (outside the city limits of Montgomery) - Call Montgomery Humane Society at (334) 409-0622, ext. 208

Dead Animal Disposal Service

The County provides a Dead Animal Disposal Service based from the Engineering Shop located on 1852 Terminal Road in Montgomery. This service is available countywide at a fee of $100.00 per carcass pickup and is limited to large animals such as livestock and horses. Anyone needing dead animal disposal service may contact the Engineering Administration  Office at (334) 832-1310 or the County Shop at (334) 264-6282.
