Effective Monday, March 30, 2020, Montgomery County Offices will be closed to the public. In an abundance of caution, the Montgomery County Commission voted to close county offices through Thursday, April 30, 2020 to protect both employees and residents. Although offices are physically closed, county services are still readily available.

J C Love Probate Pic 1Welcome to the Montgomery County Probate Court’s website.  This website has been developed to assist the citizens of Montgomery County and other interested parties with matters that fall within this Court’s areas of responsibility.  Hopefully, this website will afford you a better understanding of the Montgomery County Probate Court. 

It is highly unlikely that one can live in Montgomery County and not encounter some facet of the Montgomery County Probate Court.  Our Court deals with estates, wills, adoptions, conservatorships, guardianships, automobile registration,   business licenses, marriage recording, and  elections. 

My staff and I are committed to serving the residents of  Montgomery County and ensuring that the services provided are done in a courteous, prompt, and efficient manner.  With regard to judicial matters, the goal of the Montgomery County Probate Court is to be a fair, impartial forum for the just, timely, and efficient resolution of judicial matters that come within the Court’s jurisdiction, so as to protect the rights and liberties of those that appear before this Court.
