Carmen Moore-Zeigler

Carmen Moore-Zeigler was appointed by Governor Kay Ivey on July 29, 2022 to the District 2 seat of the Montgomery County Commission. Moore-Zeigler was sworn in to office on August 9, 2022 by the Honorable Charles Price, Retired Fifteenth Judicial Circuit Judge.

Carmen was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama. She graduated from Jefferson Davis High School in 1990. After graduation, she attended Troy University-Montgomery and majored in Business Administration. Since enrolling at Troy, she incited her passion for business and entrepreneurship. This desire began when her father, the late Douglas Moore, began a haircare line named “Carmen.”

In 2006, Carmen and her father launched their first business consulting company, the Moore-Zeigler Group. This company specializes in advising and assisting small minority business owners on how to build and expand to their full potential. Together, they have worked with businesses throughout the southern regions of the state of Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, and Tennessee. Since its establishment, they have helped several companies accrue over 20 million dollars.

Her passion for the city and county of Montgomery goes beyond helping small businesses; she consistently supports the Montgomery Public Schools and funds several projects. Over the past three years, she has donated to “Back-to-School Supply” Drives and fed more than 3,000 citizens in different Montgomery communities.

She is a faithful member of the Mount Moab Baptist Church, where she learned and lived by her favorite scripture Luke 12:48, “To whom much is given, much will be required.” Carmen is married to Mr. Henry Zeigler II, and to their union, they have one daughter, Ada Zeigler.
