The Grants Department oversees the full lifecycle of federal, state, local, public, and private grants for Montgomery County. The department is responsible for identifying funding opportunities, developing and submitting grant applications, coordinating grant budgets, managing reporting requirements, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory and financial requirements. The department works closely with County leadership, departments, and external partners to support grant-funded projects that align with community needs and the County's strategic priorities.
The Grants Department currently supports a variety of initiatives across Montgomery County, including public safety, emergency response, infrastructure and transportation, parks and recreation, energy efficiency, behavioral health, and community development. These efforts help strengthen County services, improve facilities, support partner agencies, and bring additional resources into the community.
The department assists with each stage of the grant process, including funding research, application development, award acceptance, project implementation, performance reporting, financial documentation, reimbursement requests, and grant closeout.
