MONTGOMERY, Ala. (Oct. 23, 2025) -- The Montgomery County Appraisal Department has announced it has moved to a new location.
Previously housed in a temporary location at the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, the Appraisal Department is now located on the second floor of 125 Washington Avenue, inside Annex II of the Montgomery County Courthouse.
The Appraisal Department is part of Montgomery County's Revenue Commissioner’s Office and consists of the following three areas: Real Property, Business Personal Property, and Mapping.
Each section plays an important role in valuing property under Act 160 of the Alabama Legislature that created the statewide reappraisal program and specified that all property is to be appraised at fair and reasonable market value using mass appraisal methods.
