Mission Statement

The Support Services Department manages, directs, and coordinates the functions of purchasing, real property maintenance, security, supply, inventory and communications. They supervise the purchasing of materials, supplies and equipment for all County departments, determine appropriate vendors, select bids and coordinate with buyers to obtain price quotations and/or contracts. The Support Services Department manages the operations of central receiving, warehousing and issuing of equipment, materials, and central receiving, warehousing and issuing of equipment, materials, and supplies for the County. They are also responsible for inventory control of that equipment. They plan, coordinate, and supervise the County's central supply issue point, the grounds maintenance program and custodial services for all County facilities. In addition they are responsible for providing building security programs for the County Courthouse complex. The Support Services Department manages and coordinates all telephone communication system operations for central County facilities and provide a central mail distribution and courier service departments/offices in the County Courthouse and Detention Facility complex.
