There are 56 voting precincts (polling locations) in Montgomery County. Each County has an absentee precinct and provisional ballots are tabulated as a precinct.  Accordingly Montgomery County has 58 precincts.  Voters are assigned voting precincts based on where they live. Precincts are based on County Commission Districts and within each precinct are State Senate districts, State House of Representative districts, United States Congressional districts, and State and County School Board districts.
