What to expect 

WHAT TO EXPECT 

  Upon receipt of your written appeal, if postmarked within 30 days of the date-of-mailing of the Montgomery County Valuation Notice, along with substantiating data for your opinion of value one or more of the following may occur:

• a certified appraiser will be assigned your appeal (s);   
• the appraiser will review your correspondence, along with your supporting documentation;
• the appraiser will consider your request, investigate the matter and respond to you, in writing;
• written notification will be mailed to you
• a.) if you are satisfied with the results; please sign and date the enclosed copy and return to our office; if we do not receive the return document a formal B.O.E. Hearing will be scheduled for you at a later date and time (you will receive written notification of the formal B.O.E. hearing date and time); 
• b.) if you are not satisfied with the results of the Informal Appeal, please sign the enclosed copy and return to our office by the designated date.  A formal B.O.E. hearing will be set for you at a later date and time (you will receive written notification of the formal B.O.E. hearing date and time)
